KMD EXPRESS OOD is a carrier based in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Eleven vans, thirteen drivers, two dispatchers and around 52 loads a month. That is all of us — and precisely why we know where every load is.
What “owned fleet” means
Every van is ours and every driver is on our payroll. Your load is not posted to a freight exchange and not handed to an unknown subcontractor at 11 p.m. If we ever need a subcontractor, we will ask you first and tell you who it is.
How we work with the rules
Since 1 July 2026, Reg. 561/2006 also covers vans over 2.5 t in international carriage. For us that means a second-generation tachograph in every vehicle, real rest periods and a hotel for the 45-hour weekly rest — a van has no sleeper cab and the law does not allow that rest to be taken in the vehicle.
Driver pay is not linked to distance. Article 10(1) of the same regulation prohibits remuneration that could encourage an infringement — per-diems are calculated by days and countries.
